Welcome to College Access Training online. Since 2005, Options Institute, Goddard Riverside’s college access professional development organization, has been instructing college counselors and advisors in New York City on foundational topics related to college counseling. We think that our work as practitioners and trainers has helped us to develop a unique perspective – one that blurs the line between external research and internal knowledge as we have sought to integrate both in our work for almost two decades. It is through this lens that we have developed and offer this asynchronous course.
We have re-designed our in-person only workshops as a multi modal, resource rich, online learning system. The courses can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and include videos and animation to aid learning and retention.
Courses are offered in two bundled options.
1) College Access Training, includes 5 asynchronous courses: Assessing Postsecondary Readiness, Researching and Evaluating Students' Choice, Strong College Applications, Financial Aid Application Process and Financial Aid: Understanding Packages, Loans & Gap.

2) Financial Aid, consists of the two financial aid courses from the full College Access Training course - Financial Aid Application Process and Financial Aid: Packages, Loans & Gap
